I am asking because I just discovered that Barb is granted a flat 10 weapon damage per axe as a perk. This raises the damage by about 1-2 tiers of rarity Dark And Darker Gold. This can put their cheap starter axe at par with the Common one in that regard.
I'm highlighting this because most other increases in perks and abilities don't offer near as much of a gain, often being just 5-10% (1 which is 2 points for 10). The only other boost in power from a perk or skill that is close to the same level is Rogue's Weakpoint Attack skill, which also reduces the target's defense by 50 percent as well.
I understand that the percentage has to be higher because daggers are more weak in the base stats department, however once again this is a case in which 50% of the weakest dagger power is roughly 7.5 points, and the time you are even common, that percentage rises to about 10.
Other classes generally offer significantly less or more scenarioal benefits, Ranger being the next closest I could learn from stacking Headshot and Ranged Weapons experts.
Fighter's best overall gain from a perk comparison is actually horrendous, Combo Attack is just so...unwieldy in my opinion and it doesn't work well alongside Victory Strike, which is only a 20% increase to just one strike (though some of the weapons available to Fighter are responsible for the percentage being smaller I will admit).
What are your thoughts on the numerical side of things? I'm mostly speaking from an interest in differences in power with only a basic rubbish weapon for record.
It seems like I have plenty to learn. Five years with WoW and I made it all the way through Elden Ring, but for some reason , I'm dying within 3 minutes of this game. Blocks do not seem to block, and my shots often go off.
