Diablo Immortal doesn't cost anything to play

Diablo Immortal doesn't cost anything to playDiablo IV Gold, although within the first few minutes, I was wishing it did. I would've rather paid a single, flat fee to play at my own speed and not be constantly bombarded by (surprisingly costly) microtransactions every time I played. Diablo Immortal is by no far as bad as free-to play games can be, but every single F2P technique hinders the game, not enhance it.

First off, you don't need to spend cash for Diablo Immortal if you're not interested in it. You'll still be able to explore the whole story, collect plenty of loot and participate in all of the side-programs. The first 20 or 30 levels you might not realize that you're missing a lot.

However, after a couple of hours of playing, the pace slows down dramatically, and the F2P grind comes in. (This happens at just about the time that you begin to really feel invested in the game. Picture that.) Unlike regular Diablo games, Diablo Immortal occasionally just abruptly stops the story in its tracks and won't allow you to proceed until you've reached an unspecified threshold. It's not too bad however, the game severely limits the ways you can gain significant amounts of XP every day. After a couple of missions with time limits you have the option of pretty all "run through the exact same level of dungeons and over again" in addition to "buy Battle Pass." Battle Pass."

(It is revealing that the game recommends buying the Battle Pass as an efficient method to get more levels.)

That's, of course this is where all the shady F2P game play comes into play. The game offers six or five currencies, and it's not at all clear which you can earn and which you need to buy. For the Battle Pass, Battle Pass costs between $5 to $15, based on how many cosmetics you're looking for. However, there are two other "daily reward" subscriptions priced at $10 and $20 for each. If you're interested in earning every reward offered by the game to players, you'll be looking at just $45 at the start.
