Airpods Went Through Wash

My AirPods went through wash recently, and I was genuinely worried they wouldn't survive the order. It happened by accident when I left them in the pocket of my jeans, forgetting to take them out before doing laundry. After running through a full wash cycle, I realized my mistake. Panic set in as I quickly retrieved them from the washing machine, soaking wet and clearly not in their best shape. I immediately dried them off with a towel and left them in a bowl of uncooked rice, hoping to draw out the moisture. Surprisingly, after leaving them to dry for a day or two, I tried turning them on, and to my astonishment, they still worked, though not without a few hiccups. The sound quality was slightly off, and the battery life didn't seem to hold as long as it used to. Despite these issues, I was relieved that the AirPods weren't completely ruined by their unexpected trip through the wash. It serves as a reminder to always double-check my pockets before doing laundry!
